Atomic merges with Grayling’s UK brands division

The merger will see Atomic become a 25-strong team with Grayling under the latter's brand. The new team will be led by Daniel Cohen, who has been promoted to global head of brands for Grayling.

Cohen has been part of the Huntsworth group for more than ten years. Joining Grayling in 2010, he was MD, brands, for the agency before being named MD of Atomic in 2012.

Before Grayling, he spent eight years as consumer MD of Trimedia UK and four years as head of consumer at Harrison Cowley.

The merger is a result of a “wide ranging strategic review of the Grayling business in the UK,” according to a statement released by the agency.

Sarah Scholefield, MD of Grayling UK and Ireland, said: “The merger signals Grayling’s commitment to delivering high impact, content rich campaigns for brands across our network of eight UK offices, as well as globally.

“Daniel’s pedigree in leading award-winning campaigns makes him ideal to spearhead the future growth of integrated brand communications work with the newly merged team.”
